Field Claims Manager

This role will be responsible for managing singular or multiple teams of adjusters, up to and including General Adjuster level, that are focused on providing world-class service to our customers at every available opportunity. This role reports to the Director of Casualty or Property Claims.



One open position will be located in Enumclaw or Bothell, WA.

Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of Ethical, Responsive, Personal and Efficient claim service

  • Provide guidance and direction to Claims Team staff and adjusters in order to achieve and sustain department and company goals/initiatives

  • Collaborate as a member of the Claims Management Team responsible for operational level vision, strategy, planning and execution to produce desired results

  • Oversee management of daily operations and direct file quality for General Adjusters, ensuring balance amongst team members and maintaining the highest quality of service to our customers

  • Collaborate with independent service providers to effect prompt and accurate resolution of claims which may include: casualty, property, auto, and/or catastrophe claims

  • Develop and nurture business relationships with policyholders, claimants, agents, Home Office, claims service providers and Claims Team to facilitate accurate, prompt claims resolution

  • Analyze, evaluate and implement claim operational efficiencies and workflows; collaborate with others, as needed

  • Select, manage and develop talent; assess and manage employee performance, develop and maintain succession plans

  • Develop and administer expense budgets

  • Other duties as assigned



Qualifications

Candidate must have experience managing property General Adjusters, litigation management and catastrophe management. The minimum qualifications for this position include:




  • 5+ years' of complex commercial and personal lines claims adjusting, examiner/litigation analysis property and/or casualty insurance experience required

  • 3+ years of experience managing high-performing claims teams required

  • Bachelor s degree preferred

  • Industry designation(s)/ certification(s) preferred

  • Demonstrated proficiency in leading multiple teams, in geographically dispersed locations, to deliver a superior customer experience preferred

  • Experience in conflict resolution and problem solving

  • Strong interpersonal and oral/written communication skills

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products, Xactimate, Xactanalysis and other claims-related software

  • Advanced working knowledge of insurance policies, civil litigation and regulatory environments

  • Demonstrated proficiency in assessment of complex claims coverage, liability, reserve and evaluation analysis along with litigation management





Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
